AirPods: a solution for the battery of the case that discharges too quickly | WatchGeneration
Despite their very late launch and very difficult availability, the AirPods managed without too much difficulty to find a place (the third) on the podium of the best hardware products from Apple last year (read: iPhone SE, iOS 10 and Molotov: your winning trio of 2016). Wireless headphones actually have that little something magical that Apple still knows how to offer its fans from time to time.
But obviously, everything is not necessarily as successful as we would like. Problem of keeping in the ears for some users, micro-cuts for others, or even this battery concern for the small case (read: Some AirPods have the battery that fails quickly).
The problem is this: the battery of the small charging box decreases more than expected, even when the headphones are at 100%. On Reddit, a solution shared by an AirPods user has the merit of simplicity: resetting the case.
Just hold down the setup button for at least 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber a few times, then white, as explained in an Apple tech note. It is then necessary to proceed to a new pairing of the headphones with the iPhone, simply by lifting the cover of the case.
Easy to perform manipulations that do not require a lot of time. But if the operation has proven effective for many owners of the headphones, this is not the case for many others, MacRumors nuance. Apple hasn't said anything yet about this bug, which may well be fixed through a firmware update.
