AirPods Max cases that discharge too quickly | WatchGeneration
Some AirPods Max discharge abnormally fast when not in use. Users report this problem on various forums, including ours. “I have already noticed that sometimes, when I put the headphones away in the evening in the cover and the battery diode was green, in the morning the battery was completely discharged”, testifies aymericv1974.
The same problem for marciton: "I have problems with autonomy (the day before, which doesn't work) and I found it empty several times even though it was in its box..."
The headset doesn't have a power button, it's supposed to go to sleep as soon as it's placed in its case (it's contact with magnets that triggers hibernation) or after five minutes after being removed and installed.
Obviously, there are failures. Several users therefore complain of finding their headphones discharged in the early morning when its battery was full or almost full before going to bed. The AppleTips site suggests that this problem occurs more often, if not exclusively, when the headphones have been connected to an Apple TV or a non-Apple device.
To try to solve the problem, you can restart the headset (by holding down the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the light flashes orange), reset it (by pressing the same buttons for 15 seconds, until the LED flashes orange, then white), or even by disconnecting it from the last Bluetooth device used.
If you are concerned, do not hesitate to let us know if you managed to solve the problem and by what method.
