Essay on Beats Fit Pro: When the Airpods Pro are not suitable

I am a big amateur of Apple AirPods Pro.Their format, their features, the correct sound quality and their ease of use on iOS and macOS make it in my opinion the model to consider for users of Apple products in search of wireless headphones, especially those who have the budgetto allow themselves a little more expensive devices than the average.If you spend several hours a day and don't want a big headphones on the ear, the investment is worth it.

However, the AirPods Pro are not suitable for everyone.Their interest in Android is more limited, they are expensive and even if their design is better in place in the ear than that of regular airpods, they can fall when you practice a sport, at least if you do not pay attention.

The Beats made processes on Friday in Canada correct most of these faults, but introduce a few others.

Beats Fit Pro headphones offer better compatibility with Android than AirPods Pro.

On the technology side, we don't compromise with the Beats Fit Pro, even if they are cheaper than AirPods Pro.Automatic synchronization with Apple devices, audio spatialization, active noise reduction, touch keys on headphones, water and IPX4 sweat resistance, compatibility with Find My: Beats Fit Pro offer almost all the features of the topApple range, but for $ 249 instead of $ 329.

In fact, they even offer a few additions, especially if you are on Android: their Android application is indeed complete, which is not the case with the AirPods, and the headphones are compatible with fast fast pair pairing of Google.

Their recharge is also fast.It takes 1:30 to recharge them completely (their 6 -hour autonomy is better than that of 4.5 hours of the AirPods Pro), and, above all, 5 minutes in the charging box is enough to earn an hour of autonomy whenThe battery is low.

In summary, the two models are almost technologically on iPhone, but on Android, the Beats Fit Pro are superior to the AirPods Pro.

On Android, a fairer comparison would actually be rather with Jabra Elite 7 Pro or Jabra Elite 7 Active, which I did not have on hand to compare at the time of this testing.

They keep in place, but I find them less comfortable

The Beats Fit Pro keep in place in the ear.

To wear the Beats Fit Pro, we insert them into our hearing channel and we turn them slightly.The little fin blocks in the pavilion of our ear, and makes them hold securely in place.You can move your head in all ways, you will probably have a concussion before you succeed in dropping them.

However, they are less comfortable than pro AirPods, and even regular airpods, especially over time.We forget them less in our ears, and they tire us faster.

Is it problematic?It depends on your sensitivity.Personally, I do not train enough (it is an understatement) so that the best outfit compensates for the greatest discomfort.The calculation could however be different for other.

The charging box is the other big drawback of the Beats Fit Pro.It is wider, longer and thicker than that of AirPods, all models combined.It is not big enough to be uncomfortable in its pockets, that said, it is therefore not a defect important enough to pass its turn, but it could tip the scales.

Note that the case is not compatible with wireless recharge either, which is not very important anyway, but that I like the fact that we can connect it with a USB-C port, andNot a Lightning port.

No more bass, less of the rest

The Beats Fit Pro offer good sound quality, especially compared to the bass.

On the sound quality side, the bass is more present with the Beats Fit Pro than with the AirPods Pro.These are of good quality for headphones of the genre, all brands combined.

No more bass, however, is not synonymous with better sound.Gain in serious frequencies is done a little at the expense of high and medium frequencies.The difference by passing from AirPods Pro to the Beats Fit Pro is obvious (or rather to the ears) in a room like Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard by Paul Simon.The guitars are more present with the AirPods, and the sound was generally a better roundness.The bass was however better with the beats.

As for calls, there seemed to be a little more echo in the sound of the Beats Fit Pro than in that of the Airpods Pro, but the difference was rather reasonable.Those looking for a good microphone, for videoconferences, for example, should probably turn to a dedicated microphone anyway.

Overall, the Beats did pro ring anyway for buttons, especially if you like accentuated bass, but they won't make you fall at the bottom of your chair either.

A good price for the characteristics

The Beats Fit Pro offer good value for money, a label that is rarely affixed to Apple products.

It is a device that improves the main weaknesses of Apple AirPods Pro (price, held in place in the ear when you do sport and compatibility with Android), but without dethroning them for all users.
