How to Connect Bluetooth Headphones on Switch?
Available since March 2017, the Nintendo Switch did not allow us to connect headphones via Bluetooth. An essential feature that the console was sorely lacking, especially for players who used to play in portable mode.
For the past few days, it has finally been possible via an update to play with Bluetooth devices so as not to be bothered by cables! Here is a very simple little guide to pair your headphones with your console.

First step, when you are on the Switch menu, you must go to the console settings. Make sure your machine is up to date with system software version 13.0.0.

Once in the settings, go to the “Bluetooth Audio” tab. Press the “A” key to be able to select the “Add Device” option. The console will then start an automatic search to detect nearby Bluetooth devices. Be careful to deactivate your other devices (PC, smartphone) on which the headphones could connect automatically so as not to interfere with the search for the Switch.

When your headphones are recognized by the console (here, AidPods), they are displayed. Just press the “A” key to start pairing. Again, be careful to check that your headphones aren't already connected to another device. If so, pairing will not work.

Once pairing is complete (usually takes less than five seconds), your headphones will be connected to the Switch. As the console indicates, when you connect a device via Bluetooth, it is not possible to connect two wireless controllers. When your headphones are paired, you can return to the main menu and launch any game.
This trick works on all Switch consoles (Standard, Lite, and OLED). You can also find our test of the new Nintendo Switch OLED which will be released on October 8 all over the world.
