Huawei P8 Max, a huge 6.8-inch phablet
After lifting the veil on its new P8, Huawei took the opportunity to formalize the P8 Max, an XXL smartphone with a 6.8-inch screen and a 4360 mAh battery.
The P8 Max is a smartphone, or rather a phablet. Its 6.8-inch IPS-NEO type screen (announced contrast of 1500:1) and manufactured by JDI with Full HD definition (1080p) makes it fit into this category which is at the limit of smartphones and tablets. . The P8 Max is still thin with 6.8 mm thick and an aluminum shell with the presence of Gorilla Glass 4.
Despite everything, there is a Li-Po battery with a phenomenal capacity: 4360 mAh allowing, according to Huawei, to hold more than two days away from the sector. The screen size / front panel size ratio would be very good since 83% of the front panel would be taken up by the screen.
Inside the P8 Max, we find the HiSilicon Kirin 930 with four Cortex-A53e cores clocked at 2 GHz and four other Cortex-A53 at 1.5 GHz. The SoC is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space (flash memory) and a microSD port to extend this capacity up to an additional 128 GB. There is a version with 64 GB of storage.
Emotion UI in version 3.1 has been slightly revised to better accommodate the screen size. It is thus possible to move the display horizontally to take advantage of the width of the phone or to split the display in two to put two applications side by side. For the photo, it will be necessary to trust a sensor of 13 megapixels at the back and 5 megapixels at the front.

We do not yet know if it will be available in France (the Huawei P8 will indeed be in France, it was announced during the conference), but if so, it should be marketed at 549 euros for the 32 GB version (in gray or champagne) and 649 euros for the 64 GB version (in gray or gold).
