IDBOOX IDBOOX Samsung Galaxy S22 – Bad Battery News
The Galaxy S22 has already shown itself through many visuals. He now lets out a photo of his battery and that's not good news.
We are already talking about the Samsung Galaxy S22. The next high-end smartphone from the Korean giant leaves clues on the web. A photo of the smartphone's battery leaked during its certification process in Korea.
Galaxy S22 – A shrinking battery
What it tells us is not necessarily good news. The photo of battery number EB-BS901ABY reveals its capacity. The Galaxy S22 is going to be powered by a battery of only 3700mAh.
It doesn't seem like much, especially since the S21 and the Galaxy S20 before it were equipped with a 4000mAh battery. The S22 loses 300mAh.
It’s a strange decision, especially when you know that autonomy is one of the main purchasing criteria. It is rumored that the Galaxy S22 will be smaller than the Galaxy S21.
We can take comfort in saying that Samsung is making constant progress in terms of the energy consumption of its smartphones. The S20 and S21 integrate the same battery and yet the autonomy of the S21 is much better. The Samsung Galaxy S22 will certainly follow the same path.
And the batteries of S22+ and S22 Ultra?
We also have an idea of the capacity of the batteries of the S22+ and S22 Ultra. They are 4500mAh and 5000mAh. The two smartphones are not housed in the same boat. They each gain 500mAh.
The S22 Ultra is supposed to house an S-Pen in its shell like the Galaxy Note 20, but Samsung has still found room to insert a battery with 1000mAh more.
As the entry-level model, the Galaxy S22 is expected to support 25W fast charging while the other two versions will increase to 45W.
