Imposing and unsightly: the photo banner of the Google Pixel 6 divides

A few days before their official presentation, Google's Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro reveal themselves a little more through new shots.

Evan Blass has just published new photos announced as official of the Pixel 6 that Google intends to formalize on October 19.

Shots that show devices that we already know in broad outline since the Pixel 6 have been the subject of several leaks, but some visuals are quite new: the photos of the edges of the devices allow you to a better idea of the size of the rear headband which incorporates the photo blocks.

And let's not go overboard: this headband was already described as unsightly by the press and users, we can now also qualify it as imposing. The headband thus protrudes several millimeters from the frame of the device, and it will therefore not be possible to place your Pixel 6 flat on any surface. This may therefore be problematic with certain wireless charging bases

Google has an interest in presenting good reasons for this already widely criticized aesthetic choice, at the risk of seeing its sales struggle to really take off.

The images observed tend to answer in the negative. The photo blocks, admittedly protruding, are spread over the entire width of the smartphones. The latter will therefore undoubtedly be tilted, but stable. The design of these Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro may not please everyone. However, it is necessary to recognize the very original aspect of these devices. Some may like to be able to stand out from their peers with such a look. Moreover, this may be the concession to be made to enjoy as refined a photo quality as possible — Google is already very good at this little game.''https://www.frandroid.com/marques /google/1092913_google-pixel-6-et-pro-see-how-the-photo-block-is-really-protruding-with-these-new-images+1(1like,0dislike)-1Reply with quoteHide Mathieu M Connected GNT team 2513 pointsThe #2146232Narcos wrote: With a thick shell yes, or a little MAP, see cement... Unless the headband allows you to camouflage a periscopic lens the width of the smartphone... Otherwise you will have to find something to justify this type of appendage. There we are talking about a module that exceeds much more than that of the latest iPhones, which is already widely criticized anyway... Afterwards, if Google surprises us by installing a magnetic base at the last moment, with shells integrating additional batteries, why not...For the moment, the covers available almost everywhere make the phone look like a cheap Chinese reinforced smartphone...+1(1like,1dislike)-1Reply with quoteHide Safirion Absent< /small>VIP 41702 pointsThe #2146233Originality is not an excuse, even Picasso was content with 2D canvas. Personally, it's the first accessory I buy.2- Why is it so imposing? It's because the laws of physics and optics being what they are, we won't progress much more if we keep small sensors and don't change focal length. 4x optics and there we will judge the relevance of such a technological choice.+1(2like,0dislike)-1Reply with quoteHide123Follow comments This option is reserved for GNT members.
