iOS 15 brings many new features… but also bugs. One of them breaks the feet, and the ears, of quite a few AirPods Pro users. When they ask Siri to activate or deactivate noise reduction, or to launch Transparency mode, the assistant kicks in, explaining that he is unable to do so, when it is in his ropes .

Rather painful when you got used to using Siri for this kind of action. Remember that it is always possible to switch from one listening mode to another by keeping your finger on the stem of the earphones. Courage, Siri returns in better conditions in the first beta of iOS 15.1, as I was able to realize. We will now have to be patient, as Apple has not announced, as usual, when the final version of iOS 15.1 will be released.

Being able to wait for the first updates and bug fixes is damn convenient . Patience is the mother of safety it seems 😇

iOS 15.1 fixes a Siri bug that no longer knows how to control AirPods noise reduction | WatchGeneration

@inoga

did you notice that we are talking about 15.1 and not 15.0.1? I wonder if in the end there weren't fewer bugs than reported compared to previous years.

@raoolito

It's just that SharePlay and a big novelty that requires a big number 😉

I almost regret having bought airpods pro, the lack of volume control on the headphones I had not seen that since my last sony walkman in 1992

@ipfix8

Hello. Didn't you know before the purchase?

Seeing the title, I thought there was already an update…

@man0

It's true, I too believed

It's still easier to go through the stem.

@niicoo76

It's clear that it's easier, after that if you think about the fact that you have both hands taken, on a bike or other... it can be useful

@neo9256

Headphones are prohibited on the bike.

Yes, unless you are one-armed 😝

Me iOS15 it's my old iPhone 6S that "killed" me...This old iPhone which is still very useful to me (even if it's not my main iPhone), was still running iOS 13, I wanted to update it but didn't have a choice between iOS14.8 or iOS15. Only the iOS15 version was offered to me. I installed it and since... it's been dragging like it's not allowed 🤦‍♂️ I have no choice but to hope for updates that optimize operation on old iPhone models ☹️

@r e m y

There is still time to restore it to an iOS 14.8 version which has yet to be signed by Apple via a Mac or iTunes on Windows

r e m y |

Except that I don't have the iOS14.8 ipsw file corresponding to this iPhone model on my Mac... ☹️

Is this site reliable?

Y.I |

@r e m y

This is the direct link from Apple's servers, no worries about reliability.

r e m y |

Ah well yes of course... 🙂Do you have the similar link for an iPhone 8?

All public version ipsw are listed on https://ipsw.me and all links lead to Apple servers.

Impeccable, thank you! 👍(I had upgraded iPhone 8 to iOS15, but I will go back to iOS14.8 sometime yet)
