Accessories
4 comments Apple has secured the exclusive sale of a new iPad tripod from the Joby brand. The GripTight GorillaPod Stand Pro (€69.95). The accessory is compatible with the Air, mini models and the 9.7" versions (with or without a shell).
It is apparently a little too tight to properly hold the iPad Pro 10.5". Once positioned, the tablet can be oriented in portrait or landscape, the feet are flexible and finished with rubber tips so as not to slip.
For those who use their 10.5" iPad in harsh weather conditions or near liquids, the Apple Store sells a nüüd shell from LifeProof, a specialist in this type of protection. It is sold for €129.95 .
The tablet is completely enclosed in the hull and can be submerged up to 2 m deep. It is not a question of being able to use it under water but of not suffering the consequences of a fall in water. Dust and shock protection, to some extent, is also on the agenda.

130 euro for a plastic protection which has at best a silicone gasket for sealing, so something that is worth less than 5$ in production???
They are crazy.
That being said, I have an architect friend who is looking for a really effective and waterproof case for her iPad Pro 12", and it must be able to go on site visits, so not the thing to "protect" the iPad in a hostile environment of the kind of executive office...

To have the same case for iPhone, I can confirm that it is a disposable case, if the phone falls once on the ground, you can forget to put it under water!
Kind of like a bicycle helmet
