iPhone 8: The sizzling speaker at some |igeneration
At least part of the iPhone 8 suffers from a problem with the speaker.During a call, or even listening to music, micro-cuts close to a sizzle can be heard. All devices are not necessarily concerned, but the testimonies are very numerous and we have the same problem on at least one of the phones currently in testing at the editorial staff.
This problem is not systematic, it occurs intermittently on certain calls and no others.Activate and deactivate the speaker helps activate it, as we have seen on an iPhone 8 Plus. When the phenomenon occurs, passing the conversation in silence then restoring the sound sometimes suffices to temporarily cut the inconvenience.
This is a priori of a software and non -material problem, which explains its random side. Some users concerned have managed to limit the problem with a forced restart (recall on the procedure to follow), but this is not always the case. And even if it is only a temporary solution, the sizzles quickly come back. Also there is no need to completely reset the device as some suggest, that does not settle.
If you have the problem, the best thing to do is wait while waiting for a fix or that Apple is expressed on the subject. You can return your iPhone 8 hoping to recover another one, but you will have no assurance that you don't have a defective model again. For lack of better, you can still use headphones rather than the phone speaker.
Hopefully Apple quickly finds a solution, this bug does not prevent making calls, but it is quite unpleasant to use.
