Molotov reaches an agreement with M6: the group's channels reserved for paid offers | iGeneration
A week and a half after a judgment against him for "parasitism", Molotov finally reached an agreement with the M6 group. The television platform will be able to continue to broadcast the M6, W9, 6Ter and Gulli channels, but with a major change: these channels will only be available as part of its paid offers.
You will therefore have to pay if you want to watch M6 live or in replay on Molotov. The platform offers many subscriptions ranging from €3.99/month to €19.99/month with various advantages depending on the offer, such as additional channels, better video quality or recordings in the cloud. All paid offers will include the channels of the M6 group, if we interpret the press release correctly:
The other free-to-air DTT channels will remain available free of charge on Molotov. Nevertheless, it is a disruption for the platform, which can no longer boast of offering all the main channels free of charge. The other audiovisual groups, in particular TF1 with which relations are also stormy, will they rush into the breach?
At the time of writing, the M6 group's channels are still available without subscription, but not for very long.
Update at 2:12 p.m.: the change is now effective, the channels of the M6 group are no longer available without a subscription. Molotov highlights its Plus subscription at €3.99/month. M6 channels are also included in all other paid offers.
