Oculus Quest: V37, the official list of new features of this new firmware
After an appearance through the beta testing channel, V37 is now available in final version. As always, be patient because its deployment on our VR headsets began on January 17 and will, without a doubt, still be done in waves and without any particular logic. Many of you will therefore, reading this article, not have this latest firmware on your Oculus Quest 2. As a reminder, Oculus' advice for updates to be made is to leave the headset on standby plugged in at night.
Whether you have it or not, below is the official list of things firmware V37 is supposed to bring. To note, Oculus indicates the change of display in the library and the adjustment of the joystiks like new things, but they were already present in the last version of V35. Amusing. Another point of detail, the Guardian 2.0 (the one with the management of the ceiling, walls and furniture) has not been formalized as it was anticipated since it is already present by fiddling (see our tutorial). Also note that the "Raise the view" option has left the "Experimental" tab to become "Adjust size" in the "Accessibility" tab but that this is not notified in the changelog given by Oculus.
We don't have this final V37 on our helmets yet but as soon as it arrives we'll update this article with our comments on what works, and what doesn't.
If you have any questions, you can ask them in the comments, we will gladly answer them. The Oculus Quest 2 is available at Boulanger, Fnac, Darty from €349.99.
