Geekbench of Z Fold 3

The geekbench score of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is 3351 points.It is a good score for an Android smartphone in this range and above all, much better than on the Mi 11 Ultra, despite the use of a strictly identical processor.It is clear that the Z Fold 3 is much better cooled.

We have also measured the performance of RAM and storage chip.Regarding the RAM, we obtain with these 12 GB of LPDDR5, speeds of 3669 MB/s in reading and 3353 MB/s in writing, with latencies of 26.3 ns.It’s very good, on this we have absolutely nothing to complain about, it’s one of the most efficient RAMs found in a smartphone.

As for the storage chip, we have the version of the “Entry -Entle -Entle -De -range” smartphone with 256 GB of storage.The chip offers very good reading flows, of the order of 1376 MB/s, but quite weak in writing, with only 416 MB/s.This is certainly, but it is not really balanced and we would have been able to expect a little more from the storage chip of this smartphone side.

3dmark of Z Fold 3

The Adreno 660 is the most powerful market graphics processor on the market at a time when I write these words.However, I ask myself a few questions about its exploitation.If other manufacturers succeed without concerns to go beyond the maximum score that the application can measure on Slingshot, this is not the case with Z Fold 3 for a very simple and very good reason.

Screens

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has two screens, the first on the folded smartphone, which makes a single slice of the device.This first screen is a Dynamic Amoled with a frequency of 120 Hz, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.It is a 6.2 inch screen, with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels, for a display ratio of 25: 9.It’s much more than Sony smartphones, but it’s in a very specific case.

I particularly appreciate the fact that the screen takes the entire height of the device, contrary to what the first smartphone in this range was peopos.Here finally, we have a real screen, pleasant but with a punch camera in the middle, which does not go unnoticed.It is not so serious, however, this is the case on many high -end smartphones.

The photos remain very correct, if they are not completely realistic in terms of colors, it remains very correct and we know the flawless know-how of Samsung on this point there.Beware, however, that the weather is not too capricious and that the ambient brightness is correct.

Zoom

We found one thing, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 only allows you to zoom in to X10.It's a shame because on such a smartphone, we could have appreciated a more efficient zoom but that is not the case.Too bad, we can always console ourselves with a zoom x0.5.The latter imposes a lot of distortion, however, it is normal when we take pictures closely with a wide-angle lens.However, I appreciate having a large angle x0.5.

For such a high -end smartphone, it is a shame to see that zoom X10 is not as good as hoped.The details lack sharpness, certainly the weather was not really to the advantage of the device, but the photos do not reveal an exceptional quality of the Z Fold 3, it's a shame.

Night photo

Autonomy

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a 4400 mAh battery.For such a large smartphone, it is not a capacity as important as you can do, but that does not take place, we tested the device for several days, in real conditions of use.

Using the 120 Hz screen, which is much more pleasant than leaving it in 60 Hz elsewhere, it holds less necessarily.The higher frequency consumes more battery and it is noticed, significantly.However, you can have a short day without too many problems.The only condition, to have use of the smartphone that is not extreme.The brightness of the device has a strong tendency to remain high in automatic mode.

Decreasing it manually or cutting the automatic luminosity setting can be an idea to save a few minutes of battery.Recall that in a smartphone, the screen is one of the main sources or even the main source of energy consumption.In intensive use, with games, connection sharing, photos, videos, ... we can hold a very small day.The frequency of the screen can however change the situation.

To recharge the device, it happens with a charger of your choice, since no sector adapter is provided with the device.The smartphone recharges in wired with a power of 25 watts at best, which is not extraordinary.At least that proves to us that it is not only Apple that remains on a relatively slow recharge.It can also be recharged wirelessly at a power of 11 watts.
