According to information from the SamMobile site, Samsung is preparing a new connected speaker, this time equipped with an additional screen.

Almost two years ago, in February 2020, Samsung presented a more compact version of its connected speaker, the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini. While the marketing of the speaker was clearly not the priority for the Korean manufacturer, it apparently did not let go and would work on a second version.
The SamMobile site, which specializes in Samsung news, has learned that Samsung is working on a second version of its Galaxy Home Mini. Logically called Galaxy Home Mini 2, it would be known internally under the number SM-V320. A number that follows the SM-V310, the number of the first Galaxy Home Mini – while the full-size Galaxy Home speaker was known as SM-510.
A speaker with a screen
“ We have learned that the connected speaker will have a screen, although its shape remains uncertain. We can imagine something close to the Google Home Hub or a device like the Galaxy Home Mini, but with an on-board speaker on top", speculates the Dutch site.
For the time being, we still do not know when Samsung intends to officially present this new speaker. As a reminder, the first edition of the Galaxy Home Mini was presented at the Galaxy Unpacked conference in February 2020, which was an opportunity for the manufacturer to present its Galaxy S20. We can therefore imagine that the Galaxy Home Mini will be presented at the same event, early next year, for the launch of its Galaxy S22 range.
However, one major unknown remains: the availability of the connected speaker. It must be said that, until now, Samsung has greatly limited the availability of its previous connected speakers. Thus, the first Galaxy Home speaker was unveiled in October 2018, but was ultimately never marketed. The Galaxy Home Mini of 2020 had meanwhile been offered on the shelves… but only in South Korea. We therefore do not know if its successor will in turn be offered in Korea only or if it will be available in our latitudes.
