Some 2018 MacBook Pros, like iMac Pros, suffer from kernel panics (T2 inside)

Some 2018 MacBook Pro users are experiencing repeated kernel panics, sometimes several per day, which could be due to the presence of the T2 chip in these machines. Like the iMac Pro, the new vintage MacBook Pros are equipped with the T2 chip , supporting, among other things, the Secure Boot boot process and data encryption within its own system, named Bridge OS. A kernel panic occurs when macOS detects an internal error from which it cannot recover , or when continuing execution would risk corrupting critical data. It is usually signaled by a message, equivalent to the blue screen on Windows, telling you that you need to restart your Mac. The analysis and understanding of this kind of bug is quite complex , some users claim that it occurs when they plug in many storage devices in a row, others face the same problem while their machine has no device of connected. Worse, in some people, the machines have been exchanged several times by Apple, while each time presenting the same symptoms. not chaining external storage, not using a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, disabling Power Nap, disabling Secure Boot, not using Apple Watch to unlock the machine, or disabling power management. Apple says it is investigating the problem, and in the meantime offers a radical solution : it would simply be necessary to reinstall macOS, and deactivate FileVault and Power Nap from the start. If macOS 10.13.6 seems more stable, some kernel panics would still occur when resuming from sleep. It remains to be noted that only a limited number of machines seem to be affected by this bug.Source
