Our last test of Sudio products is starting to go back quite a while. However, the Swedish manufacturer offers some very interesting new products in its catalog, such as the True Wireless Sudio ETT headphones. ETT means “one” in Swedish, and it looks like Sudio is trying to make sure these headphones are the only thing you need. Learning from its previous models and user reviews, the manufacturer has made some very successful headphones, aesthetic, and this time embedding ANC, active noise cancellation, which more and more manufacturers are integrating into True Wireless headphones. I suggest you discover them today in more detail…

Unpacking the Sudio ETT

The packaging is faithful to the brand, still very sober (yes, it's Swedish ;-):

You will have to refer to the back for a little more details on these headphones, which notably announce an ANC, and an IPX5 waterproofness.

Inside, of course, we find the Sudio ETTs in their case, accompanied by numerous replacement tips to adapt to all ear sizes, a USB-C cable for charging, and instructions of use.

The case of the headphones has a matte white finish, which will be a good point for fingerprints :). The case has a rectangular shape with rounded edges, which makes it more comfortable in the pocket. It is slightly thicker than that of the AirPods, but it remains very compact, with its 52 x 49 x 33mm (for just under 50g).

The case is equipped with four indicator lights on the front panel that will let you know the charging status of the case as well as when the headphones are charging.

The USB Type-C charging port is on the left side of the case, along with a leather strap to attach the headphones to an object such as a bag for example.

The upper part of the case simply opens, to reveal the Sudio ETTs comfortably nestled inside. The locking of the lid is magnetic, and holds perfectly.

The headphones are made of plastic, which makes them light (just 5g). The plastic is soft to the touch and the build quality is quite nice.

Note that the Sudio ETTs are available in a range of different colors with a matte finish (white, black, pink, green, anthracite), with their matching case of course.

The lower part of the headphones has a shiny metallic finish. This is where the charging contacts are located which sit on the pins when placed in the charging case. A magnetic system guarantees correct positioning in the case.

The outer face of the earcup houses the multi-function button that can activate active noise cancellation, as well as control tracks and calls. Unfortunately, it's a physical button, which means it takes a bit more force to press the button than a touch-surface button. Personally I'm not a fan of intra, because when you press the button, it supports of course in the hollow of the ear. But it has the advantage of working perfectly, unlike touch controls that we sometimes look for...

There is also an LED indicator on the outer side, which will let you know the status of the headphones, as well as the microphones.

The underside of the earphones bears the Sudio mark as well as a letter indicating in which ear the earphone should be placed.

Let's move on to their use...

The Sudio ETTs in use

As I mentioned, these earphones are quite light, which makes them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The headphones also come with a wide selection of different eartips so you can get the best fit possible, resulting in better sound quality and greater comfort. Aside from RHA, these Sudio are the headphones I've seen delivered with the most tips!

Plus, these headphones don't need to be inserted deep into the ear like some models, which adds even more comfort.

The Sudio ETTs also offer features that make them perfect for exercise or travel. Bluetooth 5.0 support means your headphones will be fully supported by the latest devices (up to two devices simultaneously), and IPX5 waterproofing will let you sweat and wear the headphones to the gym or during a race without any problem.

Pairing is very simple, since the headphones enter pairing mode as soon as you take them out of the box. Be careful though, because they automatically reconnect to the last paired device. It's practical, but if you want to connect them to your tablet, for example, you will have to cut off the bluetooth of your already paired smartphone. It's a bit of a downside to not being able to trigger the pairing manually. It is therefore necessary to remember not to have a device already registered nearby when you want to pair a new device.

Each earbud has a button, with the same controls available on either:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to manage the sound level from the headphones.

A word about the case: the headphones are perfectly nestled there, but they can be removed very easily. It happened to me to struggle a little to remove the headphones of certain brands, so it is a detail that is important ;-)

Sound quality

These Sudio Ett headphones offer a good overall listening experience, with well-balanced bass and treble.

The bass is not too powerful, but still present just enough, which allows you to listen to all types of music comfortably. The voices are well highlighted. The whole and soft and warm at the same time!

The sound insulation is excellent thanks to the wide assortment of earmolds included in the box. There are three taper tip sizes and five parabolic tip sizes. The parabolic style seems to be a popular new trend with True Wireless headphones, but Sudio has decided to include tapered tips as well, which some will prefer for comfort.

The microphones also have a “Clear Voice” ambient noise cancellation system, which allows your correspondents during your phone calls to hear you clearly, by reducing the amount of background noise detected by the microphones. microphones. They pick up the voice clearly and at a good volume.

Active noise cancellation

Active noise cancellation is also present. The headphones do a great job of eliminating bass ambient sounds, although some high-pitched sounds manage to get through, but that's often the case with ANC. This active noise cancellation considerably reduces outside noise, even if it is not as efficient as on the Sony WF-1000XM3 for example (but we are not at the same price either).

Given the current situation, the tests have been quite limited, I haven't had the opportunity to take the train or the plane with it, whereas you can really judge the quality of an ANC in These conditions. Warm at home, inevitably the ANC has its limits. Although the cries of the children are still well attenuated :p

Note that on these headphones, you will only have the choice between ANC or transparent mode: either you muffle outside noise, or on the contrary you amplify them (useful for example if you run with these headphones , to listen to music while hearing outside noises such as the noise of cars for example). As a result, we will most often be in ANC activated.

Autonomy

The Sudio Ett earphones offer up to 6 hours of listening time per charge, which falls to 4 hours if you're using ANC (of course varies depending on your listening volume).

But the charging case can bring a total of 4 extra charges to give you up to 30 hours of listening time (or 20 hours with active noise cancellation,) so you can listen to them all day without fear of running out of energy.

To charge the case, you can use the USB Type-C port on the side, but this charging case also supports wireless charging, so you can place it on a charging pad for charging. recharge, without cable! Convenient if you have such a tablet to charge the smartphone, smartwatch, and now these headphones :)

Conclusion

The product is very beautiful, very comfortable (notably thanks to the many tips provided), sleek (as I like them :p), and the sound quality is very good.

IPX5 waterproofing will also be an asset for those who want to use them during sports sessions, for example.

These Sudio ETT headphones therefore offer interesting functions, at a reasonable price, since these True Wireless headphones are offered at 149€. A happy medium, between “entry-level” headphones, which can suffer in terms of quality, and “top-of-the-range” headphones, which will quickly cost double. Some “high-end” functions are absent, such as automatic pause when removing the headphones, management of the voice assistant, or even volume management, but we benefit from excellent manufacturing quality, and a very good sound, neutral, able to adapt to all genres. True Wireless headphones that won't disappoint!
