The Kanak flag is a strong identity sign.For its creation in 1984, the FLNKS left nothing to chance.Each color banner: blue, red and green has a particular meaning, just like the yellow disc and the black fabric arrow surmounted by a doggie.

The colors of the flag strips: blue - red - green

Blue :

The Red :

"Representation: red color is the color of fire and blood.It represents vital force, heat and ardent love, shed blood, warrior virtues, liberating forces, it is the color of the will of the people, of sharing and respect, it is also the symbol ofthe union of clans by the uterine link and therefore of the unity of our country.Red is also the color of happiness.Purple red is the symbol of supreme power in most peoples.

Symbol: Red will symbolize our desire to live together, it is the power of the people, it will indicate that our country will forever be a land of democracy so that our current and future leaders always remember that sovereignty belongs to the people ".

The green :

"Representation: green color is the color of the earth, our nickel and the hope of a better life.It is the color of the plant kingdom and the bright waters, it represents "the greens", the food, the peasantry, the rural world.It is the color of the awakening of nature, the awakening of life, hope, remedies.This is the emblem of salvation.
