It was the attention to detail. Today it is the art of surfing on this reputation while pushing the limits a little more every day… But hey, it works apparently!
When I see what was for example Mac OS X Snow Leopard, then Lion with all its little animations, the sense of detail in its purest state... then macOS Monterey it's sad! You just have to play 2 min with the system to realize that everything is integrated in a nag way! No more animations, half-implemented functions (power saving mode can only be activated in the depths of the system prefs, even though there is a perfect Control Center to accommodate a shortcut to this setting,…)… it's really sorry.
